Thanks! They are a bitch to clean, but well worth it. They were one of the main reasons (aside from the color and the interior having silver trim as opposed to wood) for me driving 8 hours to Atlanta to buy it last year.

Two days ago.

This was from yesterday, but you can’t tell that it’s even my car (unless you are familiar with E34 jacking points).

I was getting an idea of how to connect the emergency jack, since we were popping the wheel back on with 3 lugs to roll into the garage behind. Quite a good jack for what it is. Still afraid it would tip the entire time, though, even with the wheels chocked.

This. I guess the previous owner put them on for whatever reason. They’re lined up evenly on each side so I just left them on. The paint is starting to fade a bit, though, so I am probably going to take them off eventually. Only issue is getting the adhesive off without messing the paint up.

Is yours a 328i or a 335i? i can tell by your picture it’s a 2007 or 2008, but that’s all I’ve got, well does look like it has the sport pack as well.

Tis an ‘09 328i. It has the M-Tech bits (suspension, different front bumper, silver interior trim, etc) but is not a full blown M Sport. The only M logos on it are what’s on those two badges.

Looks like you have the pre-LCI taillights on the back, and it’s always a 328i with the M badge stuck on it. I know you didn’t put it there, but most of the time when a non-M car is wearing an M badge, it’s a 328i.

It is indeed pre-LCI. I think they were updated in 2010 or 2011. That’s one thing I would want to change on my car. I like the looks of the refreshed head and tail lights.

Yeah you are definitely right. No offense taken. At least those were the only badges put on the car. Whoever owned it before me took great care of it and aside from those badges left the rest of the car alone.

You’re right, 2011 was the LCI for the coupes. I had assumed since the E90 got the LCI treatment in 2009, that the coupes did as well. All 2009 BMWs did come with the newer version of idrive and that’s probably why I assumed that.

I’m glad you didn’t take it in an offensive way, it just seems people always put M badges on the 328i , so I thought it was kinda funny you bought one with the same thing.

Yeah I dunno why BMW decided to do it that way. I want to say the E91 got the update the same year as the E90 did and the E92 and E93 got their update in the same year. Only thing I can think of as reasoning is because of the tail light design being the same on the E90/91.

Nah it’s all good. I know my car is the slowest of the bunch. I love it though and I am content with it just like it is. I don’t need a bunch of M badges all over the place.

I looked at that article and saw that I made a comment that mine didn’t have any. I guess technically I was incorrect on that. At least it isn’t just an M logo I guess haha.

Possibly because the E90/91 came out in 2005 and the E92/93 weren’t available until 2007. The E90 was discontinued in 2011 and the E92/93 were available through the 2013 model year.

Sure you remember, but I had a 128i in addition to my M3. Even with the base engine, it wasn’t a bad car at all.

Yeah good point. The E92 was introduce in September 2006 as an 07. The E93 was available in March 07, but I don’t know if it was as an 07 or 08. I would think 07 since it was early on in the year.

Yeah the N52 is not bad. I know you know all about it since you had that 1 series. It gets me to where I need to go and thankfully all I have had to do so far is replace the valve cover gasket and some ignition coils.
